The role of short-lived climate forcers in the global climate regime

The primary objective of the project is to provide a comprehensive assessment of the potential of mitigation of Short-Lived Climate Forcers (SLCFs) in the emerging global climate regime.

The project will primarily address issues in sub-area 2 «strategies for reducing anthropogenic impacts on the climate system.» The focus includes both national, international and global policies and policy instruments (to mitigate SLCFs), and will address decision-making, actors and institutions (in particular alternative fora for international collaboration on mitigation).
